In the lakes of the area we can put our new skills to the test. Starting with creating a primitive fishing kit we will find out just how clever the perch and trout can be!
We will produce and practice with a variety of fishing skills and techniques including;
Plant fiber fishing line,
Bone hooks,
Fish traps,
Baits and lures,
Stick Poles,
Bobbers,
Net making techniques,
Setting gill nets,
Modern and primitive gear,
Canoeing skills.
Fish processing; filleting, primitive cooking methods, smoking and skin tanning.
